For several years, we have been moving forward under the name La Virgule .
We have built a committed brand, with strong convictions and products designed to last.
But today, we're changing our name.
Not because we're changing course—because we want to take it on more strongly.
La Virgule becomes Artifact.
A more international, clearer, more ambitious name.
And a logical continuation of what we always wanted to build:
→ a technical, committed, demanding brand, focused on use and movement
→ a brand that wants to transform the outdoor industry, not just touch on it
Why change your name when everything was going well?
Because ambition has grown.
Because we no longer want to be satisfied with doing things well, on a small scale.
Because we now want to speak to more people, in more languages, in more countries.
Our goal?
To become a leading European brand in technical upcycling.
And for that, we needed:
- An easy name to remember in all languages
- A strong, coherent identity, recognizable everywhere
- A wider playing field: France, Germany, Switzerland…
Why Artifact?
Because an artifact is an object shaped by humans.
An object that has a history, a trace, a use.
Exactly what we've been doing since the beginning.
Every bag, every accessory we design is born from a material destined to be thrown away.
But we diverted it, repaired it, transformed it.
To give it a new life.
Artefact is the promise of creating useful, durable, unique objects.
What's changing (and what will never change)
What changes:
- The name
- The brand platform
- The artistic direction
- Even more technical, more robust, modular, repairable products
What remains:
- Our commitments: upcycling, local production, transparency
- The same team of passionate pirates behind every bag
Welcome to the continuation of the Adventure.
